Toronto, May 19, 2010 – Andrew Grenville, Chief Research Officer of interactive research and tech firm, Vision Critical, is one of 13 community leaders chosen to form the Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board. The board provides guidance and recommendations on the organization’s national operations and services – such as the development of relationships between public and private partners and of best practice standards for service.
“I am delighted to be of service to the Salvation Army, given the tremendous number of Canadians they help,” says Grenville. “The Army leadership commitment, caring and efficiency are truly inspiring. It is a great privilege to be asked to work with them.”
The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental direct provider of social services in Canada. In one year, the organization assisted 994,000 persons with food, clothing or practical assistance and provided 6,300 shelter, addictions, detox and mental health beds for vulnerable men, women and families.
Grenville’s fellow board members include senior executives from Scotiabank, Procter & Gamble, McCain Foods, Conagra Foods and Manulife Financial.
