Half Year Results from Vision Critical
Mid year operating results validate aggressive growth strategy
Vancouver, August 9th, 2010 – Interactive research and technology firm Vision Critical announced its operating results for the first half of 2010. Vision Critical continues to post impressive growth in revenue and operating profits, significantly outpacing the recent market upturn.
Total revenues for the first half of 2010 were up 43% over the first half of 2009 on a constant currency basis. Actual results were slightly lower because of weakness in the US dollar, GBP and Euro. Vision Critical remains one of the fastest growing companies in the Market Research industry. Speaking about the company’s growth CEO and industry veteran Dr. Angus Reid noted, “We’re on track to earn approximately $70 million in revenue in 2010; another major step forward based entirely on organic growth.”
Vision Critical is a private company and does not release details of its profit performance. Gord Baizley, the firm’s CFO reported that the firm continues to experience strong profit growth. Earlier this year the firm closed a private placement financing to facilitate more new product research and development and further international expansion.
2010 sees the launch of five new technology products including media testing and idea screening products. During the first six months of the year the firm triples its sales and services staff in Europe and has implemented five new office moves: Toronto, New York, London, Paris and Sydney. Operations in Asia and Latin America are next in the pipeline. To support this growth Vision Critical has expanded staffing levels by around 120 new positions to the current high of 450 employees.
Dr. Reid commented, “The continuously high growth figures posted by Vision Critical are a real validation of the company’s core strategy of achieving superior financial results through a combination of technology and talent.”
Vision Critical was engaged by over 50 new community clients in the first 6 months of 2010. It now serves over 600 clients using its unique combination of technology and research.
