Reid Goes High-Tech with Polling

by John Bermingham, The Province

While many people his age are hanging it up, research legend Angus Reid has embarked on a new adventure.

As he marks 40 years in market research this fall, the 61-year-old Reid is at the helm of Vision Critical, a Vancouver company blazing a trail in online polling.

The hunger that drove Reid to become one of the world’s top pollsters appears to be as sharp as ever.

Vancouver-based advertising eminence Frank Palmer, who sits on the Vision Critical board, says Angus has the Wayne Gretzky instinct to get the jump on rivals.

“It’s almost like he’s reshaping market research,” Palmer. “He’s ahead of anybody else who’s doing it at this point.”
