Vision Critical Presents Keys of Panel Recruitment at MRA’s 2009 Annual Conference
Vision Critical connected with marketing researchers at MRA’s 2009 Annual Conference in Chicago to speak about successful methods of recruiting respondents for panels.
Laura Davies, Vice-President of Panel Strategy, expressed how custom panels can vary greatly in purpose, size and research methods. As such, recruiting for panels in a “one size fits all” approach is not a viable solution. Davies advised to use highly tailored creative, messaging and positioning to recruit for panels.
“Panels are specialized and targeted so every aspect of the panel must appeal to the target segment,” says Davies. “When recruiting, providing context is more effective and provides greater sense of purpose to move research forward.” She also provided a few examples and the pros and cons of using a targeted approach to recruitment.
