I am starting to think tech support knows my number and just don’t pick up when I call.

On new technology:

  • Technology helps them stay in touch and get things done
  • Can’t imagine life without it
  • Have a hard time keeping up with how quickly it changes
  • Look to others to keep them up to date

Technology and Identity:

  • Somewhat concerned about what their technology says about who they are
  • Perhaps, because they are later adopters, they are concerned they look out of date

what's important in technology:

  • Simple, intuitive interfaces to reduce the fear factor
  • Technology that functions like something they already understand
  • Recommendations from people who are knowledgeable

Demographics:

  • Age 18-34 31%
  • Female 67%
  • Less income
  • Less well educated

What they own:

  • Desktops and laptops are ensconced in their homes
  • Also have a handful of other devices
  • They are buying on-line, but are less involved
