I finally broke down and got a new computer. But I can’t figure where to put the floppy disks. Did I get ripped off?

On new technology:

  • Feel technology changes too fast
  • Not interested in the latest cool tool
  • Computer use is currently limited to a few particular tasks

Technology and Identity:

  • Not concerned about how their technology looks
  • Don’t feel their technology says anything about who they are

what's important in technology:

  • Simple to use, basic technology
  • No bells, no whistles, no confusion

Demographics:

  • Age 18-34 18%
  • Female 57%
  • Somewhat lower income
  • Lower education

What they own:

  • Just one computer, mostly a desktop
  • Lowest levels of ownership of all technology
  • Low levels of involvement in on-line commerce or social media
