Virtual Retail

Virtual Retail

Do you want more than a standalone shelfset?  Do you want your respondents to have a complete shopping experience?  Do you want them to “fly” into a store, shop multiple aisles, be exposed to a variety of promotions, and have the ability to interact with areas in the store that catch their attention? Fusion’s complete Virtual Retail experience has all this and more.  Test signage, coupons, store layout, shelf layout, products, concepts, labels, packaging and even in-store video.

Take a look at all of the different applications that make up Fusion’s Virtual Retail experience.

Fusion Environment

See a Demo

Use the power of high speed Internet to bring respondents into a virtual retail scenario.  Whether they’re flown into a generic grocery store or a brand specific big box store, the context will be set and the results will show it.

Fusion Shelfsets

Once respondents enter an aisle you can have them participate in a Fusion Shelfset Exercise. They will have the ability to look at your shelf and spend time comparing products. They can zoom in and out, read product labels, compare prices, buy items or return them to the shelves.  Give respondents the option of shopping more than one aisle; test multiple categories simultaneously.

Fusion Virtual Store Hot Spot

Asking a kid in a candy store not to touch or taste anything is just mean. Take off the handcuffs and let your respondents tell you what draws their attention by allowing them to click on select areas in the store.  Once clicked, the area is magnified and may even be shoppable!  You can create a “hotspot” anywhere your respondents can go.

The hotspot can be:

  • a piece of signage
  • a shelftalker (eg. coupon machine in an aisle)
  • a floortalker (eg. signage on the floor of an aisle)
  • an endcap (eg. display found at the end of an aisle)
  • a palette (a free-standing display)
  • a section of an aisle

“When we had the demo, our reaction was ‘Wow! You can do all of this.’ And once we started using Vision Critical, it was really good. I enjoyed it. The questionnaire design module is attractive and easy to use. Vision Critical defined templates so that the panel members’ portal and the surveys have a consistent look and feel, reflecting the BusinessWeek design ethos."
