Vision Critical Shows Off Latest Technology at ESOMAR Congress

The Vision Critical team brushed up their French skills and flew to Montreal to participate in ESOMAR’s 61st annual congress. Joined by 1,000 participants from 60 countries, Vision Critical joined the conversation about the latest research trends and direction for the future.

Jason Smith, President of Vision Critical, and a team of Vision Critical staff, showed the latest online research platform, Sparq, which includes visual questions, community discussion analysis and enhanced respondent portals. “Companies want to engage with their customers in innovative ways, using virtual page turning or click-maps, photos or videos instead of text,” said Jason.

Jason talked about how many companies are already moving towards proprietary panels to access immediate consumer insights for business decision making. “In a time of economic uncertainty, customer retention and knowing how far their brand loyalty will extend is critical,” said Jason. “More and more forward thinking companies are embracing private research communities and panels as a means to connect their organizations with the minds of their customers.”

The payoff for companies goes beyond the insights gleaned from the online research, as Jason described, “the reward is revealing unmet needs as well as a deeper understanding of customer needs to ensure their organizations stay in step with their market. The best part is that they’re able to save many thousands of dollars in the process.”

"If you are looking for a more respondent-friendly way of conducting research, then this could be your ideal starting point. With Vision Critical, everything is attached to the respondent, so not only are the profiling data available, but so too is every item of data collected on any subsequent survey the respondent has taken. It is a clever approach which you can flex in useful ways."
