Janet has been helping businesses understand their target audiences and succeed in the marketplace for the past 20+ years and now leads our Retail Practice. Her strong background in consumer products and services includes a specialized focus on retailers and the retail sector. This experience provides Janet with a rich knowledge of consumer behaviour and attitudes, consumer trends, and the evolving retail environment in the U.S and Canada.

Janet’s work with a diverse mix of retailers and brands also provides her with broad background understanding of market dynamics, from leading brands through to new brands, from new or emerging markets through to mature and challenged markets, and from price players through to image players. Particular areas of expertise include brand / banner positioning and equity, market understanding and performance tracking, banner strategy (including acquisition), consumer segmentation, motivations and drivers, and new initiative assessment.

On the technical side, Janet has extensive experience in research design and methodologies, and the application of advanced analytical techniques to business issues.
