The countdown is on for the 2016 Customer Intelligence Summit in Chicago. If you’re heading to the Summit, getting the official free event app is a must. Here’s why.

Network like a pro.

Past attendees have told us that the Summit is a great way to meet, learn from and party with industry peers and business leaders from global brands. The app makes it easy for you to find other attendees, set up time to connect in person and even chat on other social networks.

In the app, look for the ‘attendees’ link on the left-hand panel. From there, filter attendees by industry or search by company name. You can choose to follow the activities of that person in the app, send a message or check out his or her Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts.

This year’s Summit features three breakout session tracks:

  • Strategy: provides business executives insight into how thought leaders think about customer-centricity
  • Action: provides best practices and useful tactics for users of customer intelligence software
  • Technology: provides a deep dive into Sparq, Vision Critical’s platform

There are 18 breakout sessions in the agenda for you to choose from. You can use the app to bookmark sessions and organize your days at the Summit.

The app is the best way to share your takeaways with other attendees and catch up on Summit buzz.

Have a question for a speaker? Go to the ‘activity’ section of the session and leave your inquiry there. Be sure to mention speakers and attendees (by typing the @ sign and typing the person’s name) and they’ll get notified in the app.

Catch up on fun updates throughout the Summit.

We have many surprises up our sleeves for this year’s Summit attendees, including more opportunities to network and learn. Hear about all of them as we make announcements in the app.

New this year, you can collect badges in the app—fun little icons that appear in your profile page. The easiest way to unlock these badges is to post updates and photos through the app. Check in to sessions, including the keynotes, and you might find these custom badges. Here’s a preview of some of them.

Kelvin Claveria

Kelvin Claveria was the former Content Marketing Manager and was responsible for Vision Critical's blog and social media marketing program. Before joining Vision Critical's global marketing team, Kelvin worked at Dunn PR, a Vancouver-based public relations firm.
