We’re thrilled to announce that Douglas Rushkoff, author of Present Shock and the upcoming The Growth Trap, will give a keynote presentation at this year’s Vision Critical Summit. Known for his provocative ideas on new media and technology, Rushkoff has written 15 best-selling books and is considered a visionary on trends that impact culture, business and the economy.

In his speech, Rushkoff will show how businesses too often configure themselves and their processes around new technologies instead of integrating them more deliberately into their core competencies. He will explore how businesses today operate in a highly dehumanized landscape, where everything from research and development to marketing and branding are predetermined by data instead of informed by it.

Rushkoff will share how businesses have fallen prey to what he calls “present shock,” and how they can more successfully adapt to the disruption and opportunities of the real-time economy.

Fun fact: Rushkoff coined “digital natives,” a term that is now widely used to describe an always-on generation that grew up with the rise of the Internet and mobile technologies.

We’re looking forward to Rushkoff’s speech, and we hope you are too! Save your spot for the Vision Critical Summit today, and be part of the world’s number one customer intelligence event.
