Are millennials paying attention?

Towards the end of Research’s recent Gen Y debate, Tom Skilbeck and Mark Yeomans touched on the challenge that the millennial generation pose, not only to marketers, but to researchers who are trying to talk to them. As the first generation to grow up with internet, speed and accessibility are key to communicating with these “hard to engage” individuals. But are they really paying attention to what we’re asking them?

At Vision Critical, we conducted some research of our own to study where respondents were when they were taking surveys, and what other activities they were doing at the same time. Of the 2,025 respondents interviewed, 92% took the survey at home, 5% while at work and 2% somewhere else. But what about the millennial cohort?
