To Build A Better Rental App, National Car Put The Creative Process In Its Drivers’ Hands
When it comes to smartphone apps, the nation’s largest rental car company decided that if you aren’t first, you should at least take your time to try to be the best. So National Car Rental took a novel approach: give the reins to the creative process to the company’s community of power users.
National Car announced its new mobile application Monday at the Global Business Travel Association convention in San Diego and the app is now available in iTunes and in Google Play. The company’s hope is to avoid a trap common to the rental car industry and travel apps overall—overwhelmingly negative reviews from customers who find limited functionality and often open the apps in high-stress travel situations.
