Kevin to Help Drive Business Growth for Vision Critical and its Insight Community Technologies
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – September 11, 2013 – Vision Critical, the leading provider of insight community technologies, today announced that Kevin Kimsa, managing director at OMERS Ventures, has joined the Vision Critical board of directors. As a recognized entrepreneur in the technology sector, Kevin’s background will be invaluable in working alongside the board to help advise Vision Critical as it continues on its high-growth path and remains a leader in the customer listening and engagement space.
Part of the OMERS Ventures investment team since June 2013, Kevin is responsible for supporting early and later-stage growth portfolio companies across North America, including Vision Critical. With expertise in the technology, media and telecommunications industries, Kevin brings a wealth of information to Vision Critical and the board where he will be influential in assisting the business in operational, financial and technological decision-making processes.
Prior to OMERS Ventures, the venture capital investment arm of the OMERS pension plan, Kevin spent two decades in operational management positions at fast-growing companies including live event e-commerce platform provider, AudienceView Ticketing Inc., where he continues to serve as the executive chair. Before his tenure at Audience View Ticketing Inc., Kevin co-founded IP billing software firm, Solect Technology Group, which he sold to Amdocs Inc. in 2000 for US $1.2 billion. Previous to that, Kevin started Casero Inc., which Radialpoint purchased in 2009.

Kevin has held significant roles as CEO and COO at companies he founded and co-founded where he has managed the successful completion of numerous financing rounds with a mixture of venture capitalists and strategic investors. Currently, Kevin is an active board member of Toronto East General Hospital and the Centre for Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology, University of Waterloo.
