VANCOUVER, British Columbia – September 18, 2013 – Vision Critical, the leading provider of insight community technologies, today announced that it tops Inside Research’s 17th Annual Report on the World’s Fastest Growing Market Research Firms. Ranked number one by Inside Research, Vision Critical was identified as a leader based on a 359 percent revenue increase over five years. The report states, “All of Vision Critical’s growth rate was achieved without acquisitions, the first in history of this ranking, and generated over a period of worldwide recession.”

Based on financial growth across five years and including a record-breaking year in 2012 at $78.4 million in revenue, Vision Critical leads in the online communities business, illustrating the company’s rapid organic business growth and highlighting the increase in demand for insight community technologies around the world. To qualify for the Inside Research ranking, businesses must have met both annual revenue thresholds of $35 million in 2012 and at minimum $15 million in 2007.

“We’re extremely delighted to be honored with such a high ranking by Inside Research,” said Dr. Angus Reid, executive chairman of Vision Critical. “We’ve been growing quickly for many years now, and we’re seeing a strong demand for Vision Critical Insight Communities and community-based consumer engagement software overall. The company’s 359 percent organic growth in only half a decade speaks for itself and it’s fantastic to be recognized for it by Inside Research’s prestigious list.”

Worldwide revenues for 41 firms totaled $19.6 billion, which is in line with last year’s findings of 42 firms, and accounting for 58 percent of the $34 billion worldwide market research revenue. The average overall five-year growth rate dropped to 50 percent from 60 percent last year with no new, smaller firms making threshold in rankings.
