From Reacting to Sustaining:
Shifting the customer mindset from one-time interactions to long-term advocates

Peter Baines, Founder, Hands Across Water

Peter, a former NSW police forensic specialist, founded Hands Across the Water to raise awareness of Thai children left orphaned by the 2004 tsunami. The organization successfully raised millions of dollars and supported hundreds of children, but struggled to keep its donors engaged in a long-term campaign. More recently, HATW has managed donations for Gammy, a surrogate child with Downs Syndrome, at the centre of a Thai-Australian surrogacy scandal. Hear how an Insight Community helped Peter elevate the reputation of his charity, raise awareness of his far-reaching goals and build a community of dedicated supporters.
