Fan engagement in the digital world is a hot topic in the highly competitive sports and entertainment industry. As social media and mobile technologies allow fans to engage directly with each other, with players and with sports organizations, the industry is trying to catch up. It’s no wonder that fan engagement is one of the key focuses of next week’s Sports & Entertainment Alliance in Technology (SEAT) 2014 conference happening in Miami Beach, Florida.
Together with NASCAR, we’re helping drive the conversation about fan engagement at the conference. On July 22, 2014, I’m joining Brian Moyer, Managing Director of Market and Media Research at NASCAR, for a talk on how to turn fan insights into action. During the 45-minute session, we’ll reveal the secret behind the success of the Official NASCAR Fan Council, an insight community of NASCAR fans.

On Sunday, July 20th, at 12:30 PM EDT, I am also joining a panel session for a discussion exploring how to leverage analytics and big data as an organizational tool for success. The panel includes CRM and marketing leaders from Major League Soccer, Arsenal Football Club, New England Patriots and Winners.
